As a part of the kratom community, NutraSpec feels it is our responsibility to provide our customers with a product that they can feel safe and comfortable consuming. We pride ourselves on being one of the few kratom supplement manufacturers to test every LOT of material that we produce. NutraSpec partners with an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory to provide traceability through a validated certificate of analysis (COA). This is to verify compliance to heavy metal, and microbiological limits as defined in the USP or AHPA regulations. NutraSpec is also one of the very few kratom suppliers who tests for up to 7 different alkaloids. While many of the other kratom suppliers provide lab results for the most active alkaloids: mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine; NutraSpec’s laboratory partner is the only lab in the world that has developed the method to test up to 7 different alkaloids. Our labs will not only provide the individual lab results for each alkaloid, but we will also provide the total alkaloid content for each LOT. NutraSpec strives to be the most transparent company on the market. Our customers will have access to these lab results for every lot they purchase from NutraSpec. To view these lab results click on the link below and you will be directed to a file containing the lab results for your lot#.
The following is a breakdown of the different alkaloids found in the kratom leaf and the effects of each alkaloid.
Mitragynine: This is the primary alkaloid in kratom and represents roughly 66% of total alkaloid content found in kratom. It’s effects are believed to be analgesic, antitussive, anti-diarrheal, adrenergic, and antimalarial.
Paynantheine: This is the second most abundant alkaloid found in kratom. Represents around 9% of total alkaloid content in Kratom. This alkaloid provides an effect similar to a smooth muscle relaxer.
Speciogynine: This is the second most abundant alkaloid found in kratom. Represents around 9% of total alkaloid content in Kratom. This alkaloid provides an effect similar to a smooth muscle relaxer.
7-hydroxymitragynine: This is one of the most well known alkaloids found in kratom leaf. The alkaloid content can vary from undetectable at times, to 2%. This alkaloid provides the effects of an analgesic, antitussive, and antidiarrheal.
Speciociliatine – This alkaloid can vary and represents 1% of total alkaloid content in kratom. This alkaloid has the effect of a weak opioid agonist.
Mitraphyline - This alkaloid represents less than 1% of total alkaloid content in kratom. This alkaloid has the effects of a muscle relaxer, diuretic, antiamnesic, immunostimulant, and anit-leukemic.
Isorhynchophylline - This alkaloid represents less than 1% of total alkaloid content in kratom. The effects of this alkaloid are as an immunostimulant, and anti-leukemic.
